Love is in the Air

Hello and welcome,

I am really taken with one of the products from the Spring Summer catalogue - the mini treat bag framelit.  It makes a little treat bag which you cut and stick together.  So far I have tried this with Stampin' Up cardstock, vellum and dsp and all work really well and are so cute.

I decided it would be a perfect envelope for a card and it just so happens the Valentine's card I have made my hubby fits in it!

The stamps used are the "You plus me" set which coordinates well with the hearts embossing folder and "Stacked with love" mini dsp papers - 48 sheets of double sided paper.  At 6.5x4.5" they make a great size for cards and 3d projects and, of course, fit fabulously on a mini treat bag.

If you are interested in browsing any of the catalogues to find out more about any of these products or how to earn free products until the end of March, please do not hesitate to contact me at wightman82@googlemail.com

Best wishes,

First workshop of the year

Hello,

Yesterday we held our first workshop of 2015.  We were celebrating Sale-a-Bration and, of course, the new spring summer catalogue.  We used products from both and our lovely ladies made a total of nine cards and a little treat box.  I forgot to take a photo of the treat box so will look out my sample and post another time.

We like people to have value for money from our workshops and include lunch too so that you don't have to worry about anything apart from having a good craft day.

This project used the gorgeous Sheltering Tree set.  It is difficult to see, but in the winter card in the center, I used a white gel pen to create frost, the tiny snowflakes stamps which come in this set with illuminate ink and highlighted some areas with a glue pen and a sprinkling of Dazzling Diamonds...lovely.

I get a little scared with multiple stamping using a two or three step set but this Lotus Blossom set was so easy that even I could do it!  To achieve this image, you use three coordinating stamps on top of each other.  Each one has a little arrow at the top to help you remember where the top is but to be honest, it lines up so well because the polymer makes it so easy to see where you are stamping.  This set is from the Sale-a-bration choices and is one that jumped out at me as soon as I saw it and, bonus, is free with a spend of £45.

Another polymer set in the spring catalogue is the "Celebrate today" set.  This comes with coordinating framelits and no trying to cut a circle out!

Our next workshop is on March 14th in Gosport, Hampshire.  If you would like to book to attend, please drop me an email.

I hope you all have a great week.
