April Card Class

Hello & welcome,

Last week we held our April workshop.  I had designed a screen card using the Blooming with Kindness stamp set, which is one of my all-time favorite sets and a coincidence as I didn't know that it was going to be on the retiring list.  I was so relieved that there were still stocks of this set available as some customers fell in love with it too.  I had recently used this stamp on a Wedding Invitation commission too which I will share at the end of this post.  The leaves are from the Kinda Eclectic set.

The lighting wasn't great so the ribbon isn't too clear but I used a Rich Razzleberry double bow secured with an antique brad.

Our class also made an easel card using the Wonderous Wreath stamp and framelits with some flowers punched from the small flower punch, and of course some rhinestones to finish the project off.

We also focused on a card for the men using the Adventure Bound designer series paper stack which are great to use as backgrounds for cards and also for mat and layering on your scrapbook projects.  We also used stamps from the Guy Greetings set.  With the stamps being polymer, I find these line up so easily as you can see where you're stamping which is also great for lining up to make stamped backgrounds as shown in Jenny's card which uses the muscle man stamp from the set.

Tena's projects used the Painted Petals set, made easier if you purchase the polymer stamps as this is a 2-step set so lining up the flowers onto the stems couldn't be easier.

Finally as I mentioned above, I had the privilege of being commissioned to make Wedding Invitations for a beautiful Bride to be and her Groom.  My sample was made in Blackberry Bliss but she choose the Cherry Cobbler which fits in with her wedding theme.  The back of the invite has a pocket on which holds the menu and present guide.   I have waited until the invites have been sent and Sarah has kindly given her permission for me to share these

Hello & welcome,

Today I'd like to share a card I have made for a very special lady who turned 40 this weekend.

I used the I Love Lace stamp, stamped with versamark and embossed with silver powder.  I think Night of Navy makes a great colour combo with this powder for a classy look and as she's a classy lady, its very apt.

I have been practicing my double bows from a You Tube tutorial as well.....I think I will save these for very special cards as I get them stuck on my fingers!!

Have a great weekend,

Best wishes.
